Roman Reigns Suspended For 30 Days Due To Wellness Policy Violation
He's not a good guy. He's not a bad guy. He's the suspended guy. WWE announced today that they have suspended Roman Reigns for 30 days for violating the company's wellness policy. As per the policy, the reason for the violation will not be revealed. The policy includes both performance enhancing and recreational drugs. It has not yet leaked which type of drug caused Reigns to fail the test.
Reigns has been seen as the company's next superstar for the better part of three years. Until this past Sunday, he was the WWE World Heavyweight Champion and had main evented two consecutive WrestleManias. With the announcement of the suspension today, it is now much clearer why Reigns lost the title on Sunday. Last night on "Monday Night Raw", it was announced that the next pay per view, Roman Reigns will compete in the main event against Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose for the championship. Conveniently, this falls outside the thirty days that he will be suspended for.
Reigns will, however, miss the upcoming WWE Brand Extension Draft that will take place on the first live Smackdown on July 19th. Reigns becomes the first main event talent suspended for a wellness policy violation since Randy Orton in 2012. This feels even bigger than the Orton violation, though, as Reigns was the WWE World Heavyweight Champion at the time of the suspension.
Reigns confirmed his suspension on Twitter.
I apologize to my family, friends and fans for my mistake in violating WWE’s wellness policy. No excuses. I own it.

It's unclear if WWE will continue to see Reigns as their go to superstar in the future. John Cena is as clean cut as they come. Will the company lose all trust in Reigns now? Considering he is booed by the majority of audiences, it wouldn't be a surprise to see WWE completely change courses there.
