Aly Raisman’s Parents Are Still Squirming Since 2012
The Olympic Games present the opportunity for athletes old and young to showcase their talents on a showcase for the entire world. Along with young phenoms, comes nervous and supporting parents. Enter the Raisman's, Rick and Lynn, parents of Aly Raisman, Olympic medalist in gymnastics. We all saw Rick and Lynn reach global fame for their leaning and squirming back in London at the 2012 games.
As the couple cheers for their daughter, we can see how passionate and encouraging they are of their champion. After watching the video, many viewers and fans praised the two for showing their support. This year, mom and dad watched Aly's uneven bar routine with almost the same amount of leans and wiggles. If you watch closely, Aly's father Rick literally NEVER blinks during the performance.
Watching these two reminds me of my high school wrestling days, seeing my own mother twist and turn as I got pummeled on the mats. These young competitors deal with an immeasurable amount of pressure as they represent our great nation every four years. For Aly, 22, she has a slight edge over the other athletes, knowing there's a dynamic duo rooting for her up in the bleacher seats.
