Firework Oreos Are Here To Heal A Troubled Nation
Sweet Baby Jesus has finally answered my prayers. Could there be an Oreo that not only offers the delicious chocolate cookie that I've loved since childhood, but also a wild, patriotic filling that awakens my inner Benjamin Franklin?
Apparently, such a cookie exists.
America, meet Firework Oreo -- which according to reports Nabisco is set to debut on or around July 4. This limited edition cookie has a filling, says TheJunkFoodAisle, that consists of popping candy creme, which will "ignite your taste buds with flavor."

Yes, the Junkfoodaisle has been known to post Photoshopped fake Oreo flavors (Maple Syrup Oreo, for example), but they always label those in the caption. This one they're reporting as real -- just as they predicted Peeps Oreos, which landed today in Walmarts nationwide.
We've emailed Nabisco to confirm Firework Oreo, but have not yet heard back.
Oreos were introduced in 1912 by the National Biscuit Company (later to become Nabisco), and were, of course, a ripoff of another cookie. The Hydrox cookie, a virtually identical chocolate wafer cookie by Sunshine Biscuits, was introduced in 1908.
But Oreos are now the top-selling cookies in the world, and Hydrox is seen as the knockoff. Sad, really. But ain't that America?
