The Top TV Shows Streamed In Every State: Should We Be Worried About Michigan?
America is an enigma, wrapped in a mystery, contained in a large tortilla of questions. Just when you think you have it figured out, a presidential candidate discusses his penis. Such is the case here, with these entertainment statistics.
The site HomeSnacks.com recently endeavored to discover which TV shows America was binge watching online, and chose the top shows by state. Here are the results, and some of them are very interesting. For instance, it should come as no surprise that Oregon is fond of streaming Portlandia, and New Mexico likes Breaking Bad, and that Pennsylvania's top streaming show is It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia. And of course Colorado wants to watch Weeds.
But why is Kansas watching Parks and Rec, instead of Indiana (which prefers Agents of Shield)? And LOL, Montana. Good choice, but I never would have called that.
Look for yourself:
Of course Nebraska is stuck three decades in the past with Cheers.
These stats may be suspect, however. Netflix, Hulu and Amazon don't release viewer statistics, so HomeSnacks used Google Analytics to monitor trends and track viewing buzz. So Dexter may indeed be in Florida, where it belongs, instead of Michigan. And Friday Night Lights, instead of being the top streaming show in South Dakota, might yet be in Texas.
But True Blood will always be the most-watched show in Louisiana: this year, and a thousand years from now.
