Twitter Botches Golf Tournament Coverage With Picture of the Masters
Gear up golf fans, the Masters is upon us!
Golf's coveted first major of the year starts Monday. But before that several of the world's top golfers are tuning up for Augusta National at this week's PGA Shell Houston Open in Texas.
It's a good strategy for players to stay fresh and gain some momentum before beginning the journey for the green jacket. On the other hand, it's also a tease for golf fans who are chomping at the bit to get the major championship season underway.
In fact, someone at Twitter got a little overexcited and hilariously mismatched the social media site's coverage of the Shell Houston Open on Moments with a correlating picture of a hole from Augusta National. See the screenshot below for proof.

To the untrained eye, this easy-to-miss mistake would have gone unnoticed. But unfortunately for Twitter I'm a golf fanatic with with a keenly trained journalistic eye and nothing better to do on my Friday afternoon. That's an admittedly nerdy and somewhat scary combination when it comes to editorial mishaps.
