Manny Pacquiao's only hope right now is to blame the whole thing on CTE.
What else but repeated blows to the head can explain this monumental screwup? Speaking in an internet interview posted Monday, Pacquiao, who is running for a seat in the Philippines senate in May, said that he figures people who live in same-sex relationships "are worse than animals."
This has caused controversy for some reason, as many of the country's biggest celebrities have lined up to urge voters to reject him.
Pacquiao, on a video posted to the TV-5 Facebook page:
“It’s common sense. Do you see animals mating with the same sex? Animals are better because they can distinguish male from female. If men mate with men and women mate with women they are worse than animals.”
Noting the immediate backlash, Pacquiao decided not to go the Donald Trump route -- he's apologizing to anyone and everyone.

And just to be safe, sorry to the animals as well.
Pacquiao, 37, is training for what he says will be his final fight -- An April 9 bout with Timothy Bradley at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.
Pacquiao is currently a member of the Philippines House of Representatives and is running for the senate as a conservative Christian. His views against gay marriage have always been widely known, but this time he went way off the rails.
Manny Pacquiao just knocked himself out with that comment. #LoveWins
