Bill Simmons is having another rough go of it in his post-ESPN career. His new show on HBO Any Given Wednesday was cancelled after just 16 episodes.

The former ESPN columnist and creator of the site Grantland parted ways with the Worldwide Leader in Sports in 2014 and the breakup wasn't pretty.
The good news for Simmons is his contract for future projects with HBO is still intact, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
HBO says they're still committed to Bill Simmons via documentaries and other "new programming initiatives."

Additionally, Simmons, who has grown a cult-like following, is thriving with his newest digital platform The Ringer. So the outspoken sports and culture columnist should have nothing to worry about in terms of staying relevant and trailblazing his next venture with HBO. And expect him to piss people off more often than not along the way.
