DODGERS-METS PREGAME REPORT FROM CITI FIELD
Avoid using any Dodgers hitters today if you can help it. The team actually seems a little hung over after last night’s extra innings game. It seems like a good matchup against New York’s Jeremy Hefner, but Los Angeles hitters may be quite unpredictable today. If you have to, though, go with Matt Kemp over any other Dodger batter. He was at the ballpark early today getting prepped, and there are definite indicators he could be in for a hot stretch after homering off Matt Harvey last night.
Carl Crawford is still getting used to the National League, and could be sluggish today, and is better in yearly leagues than daily play. Justin Sellers is in the lineup at shortstop and does seem very geared up to start, and is a possible desperation play if you want to absolutely save money at the position and take a complete gamble.
The one Dodger you should consider for any early games today is Hyun-Jin Ryu. The Mets have not seen the South Korean newcomer yet, and that puts them at a certain disadvantage after the long night on Wednesday. John Buck is out of the lineup for New York, and Lucas Duda hitting cleanup means he can cruise through the Mets lineup even easier.
