Pictures Surface Of MMA Fighter Cyborg Santos And His Fractured Skull
This past weekend, Cyborg Santos fought Michael Page. Santos caught a wicked knee to the face which immediately concluded the fight. Afterwards, Page pulled off his best Ash impression and tossed a pokeball towards Santos' general direction. It was an epic knockout and celebration combination.
Of course the benefits were one-sided here, as Page's victim was left with one of the more gruesome injuries that MMA has seen in a while. The damage that was done to Santos' skull is something you really can't unsee. The knee to the face knockout fractured his skull, leaving a stomach-churning, visible dent on his forehead. Take a look at Santos and his injury, as shared by his ex-wife Cris 'Cyborg' Justino on Instagram:
It appears that a lot of damage has been done to Santos head. He has not started his surgery yet because the doctors are fearful that the brain might keep swelling.
As much as we consider UFC a sport, we forget the dangers that do exist with it. At the end of the day, they are literally fighting each other for a paycheck. Lets just hope for a speedy recovery from what appears to be a gruesome injury.
