5 Controversial Fantasy Football WR Picks This Summer

  • David Gonos

Following Average Draft Position is always fun, but it’s also very interesting because in a real draft, it only takes ONE person to think a player is worth a pick this high – and then he’s taken. It’s not a consensus. But that doesn’t mean everyone won’t go bonkers over that pick, debating the player’s worth and wondering what that owner was thinking!

During a recent Fantasy Football experts draft on RTSports.com, I noticed a handful of players that especially aroused the interest of the other owners, some of which were Fantasy Football writers/personalities. (Someone picked Stephen Gostkowski in Round 11 of a 16-round draft, so we won’t call this a true “experts” draft.)

But there were enough intelligent Fantasy owners in this mock draft to understand that quarterbacks should be taken later (Aaron Rodgers was a third-round pick). So I thought we’d look back at some of these controversial Fantasy Football picks, and I can give my own view on the worthiness of their selection!

One thing I wanted to mention, though, was that if you sign up for the RotoExperts Xclusive Edge package, your Fantasy Football picks will be anything but controversial!
