Episode 2 Of Mike Tyson Mysteries Released To Run Around In Your Mind Breaking Things
Defying all odds, there have now been two episodes of Mike Tyson Mysteries released from captivity -- Monday's selection, Ultimate Judgment Day 2, wasn't quite as weird as the debut, but was still quite bizarre.
And that's the point wit the new Adult Swim animated show. You're sitting around your common room in college, probably high to begin with, and find that the adventures of Mike Tyson solving mysteries with an alcoholic pigeon, an adopted Korean daughter and the ghost of the Marquis of Queensbury is just what the doctor ordered. Here's a taste of Monday's episode.
Highlight of Ep. 2: Tyson beats up Gary Kasparov, and a chess super computer, because he mistakes the term "chess grandmaster" for "KKK Grand Wizard."
In episode 1, titled The End (guess they figured it might have been canceled halfway through the show), Tyson trains a pterodactyl, fights a Tyrannosaurus rex and punches a chupacabra.
In it, Cormac McCarthy enlists Tyson's help in coming up with an ending of his latest novel. It's an example of the kind of arcane, smarter-than-you-thought, farcical intent of the show. Too bad Tyson can't pronounce the author's name.

Rotten Tomatoes has given it a 90 percent fresh rating.
My rating of Mike Tyson Mysteries? I'm not giving it one, because I don't smoke weed. IMO it's going to lose its novelty soon, and won't see a second season. But I won't deny I laughed several times during both episodes, and Norm McDonald as the pigeon is great and steals the show.
