Is Ciara’s Baby Daddy Trolling Russell Wilson By Dropping Mixtape During SNF?
Rapper Future is pop star Ciara's former fiance and father to her son, and it's been noted that he isn't the biggest fan of her highly-publicized relationship with NFL superstar quarterback Russell Wilson. Well Robert Littal of the ever-entertaining Black Sports Online posted an interesting conspiracy theory that was posed by one of his followers on Twitter this morning.
Here is the rundown of the theory from @milesfan79:
Is it possible that Future's decision to drop his mixtape collaboration with Drake at kickoff of Sunday Night Football a coincidence? Yes, but it's not likely. In a world chock full of social media beefs and famous rap feuds, almost nothing is coincidence. Plus, as Fave Chappelle points out, it's a really odd time to drop a mixtape.
The only problem with this theoretical plan is that almost nothing can trump the viewership of a Sunday Night Football game. NFL ratings are one of the few things in this fickle world that remain consistent, and as anticipated as the mixtape may be by the hip hop community, Russell Wilson has about four hours of national television coverage after it comes out.
When you've won a Super Bowl, been to a second one, are dating one of the most beautiful women on the planet and are about to play a nationally-televised NFL game at Lambeau Field, you probably aren't concerned with the petty attempts by your girls' ex to rain on your parade.
Sorry Future, Russell's vibe can't be killed.
