Joey Crawford, NBA Public Enemy #1, Is Retiring
This year, the NBA will bid farewell to a legend. You either loved him or hated him. He was a part of some of the biggest moments in NBA history. His role in the NBA postseason will never be forgotten. He could get under players' skin better than anybody and would always try to top his last antic with another. Truly, basketball will be an emptier place without him.
Oh yeah, and I guess Kobe Bryant is retiring too.
Veteran NBA referee Joey Crawford, who has reffed NBA for nearly four decades, announced that he will retire at the end of the 2015-16 season. Crawford, who officiated his first game in The Association in 1977, made his declaration of retirement to the Delaware County (Pennsylvania) Daily Times.
The NBA world is losing a heck of a guy in Crawford, and mutli-talented as well. For example, they're losing a disciplinarian...
Of not just players, but mop boys as well...
We also lose an amazing shot blocker...
and, perhaps most of all, a tremendous dancer.
So enjoy retirement, Mr. Crawford. But don't expect a going away present from Tim Duncan
