John Wall’s Free Throw Sits On Rim Nearly as Long as the Vine Video of It
Washington guard John Wall has great touch, this we know. But when he softly tossed up a free throw Wednesday night against the Cleveland Cavaliers, it glanced off the front rim, then the back rim and bounced a couple more times before finally dropping to the side – a full five seconds later!
The background laugh of whatever person can’t believe the ball wasn’t dropping should be Wall’s new ringtone.
This delayed shot sort of reminded me of Tiger Woods’ chip shot at the 16th hole of the 2005 Masters that slowly rolled in after a few seconds, making for a perfect Nike commercial.
Wall, I’m guessing, would have just preferred his delayed free-throw attempt rolled in instead of out.
