Odell Beckham Jr. Wears Some Seriously Festive Christmas Cleats
Odell Beckham Jr. was already making a very good case for being the NFL's most likeable player, and he might have sealed the deal with the new Christmas cleats he debuted before the his Giants take on the Panthers on Sunday afternoon.
Not only are they exquisitely Chrismas in every way - complete with mini presents affixed to the shoelaces -but they also LIGHT UP!
There is honestly nothing to not like about Beckham Jr. He's ridiculously talented, excelling more and more every week on the field, wellspoken and friendly and it turns out he can design some damned fine holiday-themed footwear. According to the Giants Instagram account, the wide receiver teamed up with the Giants equipment manager and Nike to create the cleats.
@iam_objxiii cleat game = Amazing vision brought to life by the people at #Nike. A great collab between Joseph Skiba, Odell Beckham Jr and Nike. In the least surprising news of the day, Cam Newton has also decided to don some of his own presumably signature red and green Christmas-themed cleats of his own. So not only are the Panthers and Giants facing off in a big game today, but they have a little bit of a fancy cleat battle going on between their star players.
Newton is nothing if not flashy, but it's Beckham Jr. who gave his cleats the light up treatment. In all fairness, there is no contest here. ODB wins! (As will the Giants! Panthers undefeated season ends today. Calling it.)
