After all the exhausting spin following last night’s fiery debate between Vice President Joe Biden and Congressman Paul Ryan, RotoExperts sat down for a few moments with the hopeful new Republican Vice President discussing some of the less important things in life, sports; to be specific, Fantasy Sports. For a brief moment in time, domestic and foreign affairs, the national debt, job creation, abortion and any other controversial political topic you can think of took a back seat to the nonsensical obsessive world of Fantasy Sports.
So what does Congressman Ryan think of the recreational craze taking over the nation? Ryan, who is a loyal RotoExperts premium subscriber, plays both Fantasy Baseball and Fantasy Football and is currently 1-4 in the Congressman’s in-house league. The Wisconsin native remains loyal to his community, even in the world of Fantasy, as he chose Aaron Rodgers as his first round pick and features both James Jones and Jermichael Finley regularly in his starting lineup, a curious strategy indeed. The Congressman even has Mason Crosby as his kicker. In Fantasy Baseball this past season, Ryan stayed true to his colors choosing plenty of Wisconsin team players once again with Yovani Gallardo, John Axford, Johathan Lucroy and Rickie Weeks all in his starting lineup. Ryan also acquired Ryan Braun in a mid-season trade, riding his bat to a second place finish (no word on whether he missed out on big money).
Asked how he thought he and presidential hopeful Mitt Romney would fare in a head-to-head Fantasy Football match against the Fantasy skills of President Obama and Vice President Biden, Ryan confidently stated, “I can tell you this, the Romney/Ryan team takes a back seat to no one.” Asked whether he’d be willing to stake the results of the election on the results Ryan exclaimed, “Bring ’em on, let’s do this.”
Stay tuned, for the RotoExperts Presidential Fantasy Football Challenge…
