Recognizing the Brutal Side of the NFL
Football is a brutal sport. If you took a look at the list of injured players in the NFL this morning and the team names and page title were stripped away, you might think that there was a train wreck and this was list of injuries from those who survived…
If you watched the Monday night game last night between the Lions and Bears you know what I’m talking about. Nate Burleson broke his leg, Jay Cutler was forced to the locker room to have his ribs checked after being sacked by Ndamukong Suh, and Matthew Stafford, well as you can see above... laying in the fetal position with a face mask full of grass... well he simply got the shit kicked out of himself.
Most of us enjoy want professional football; it’s the most popular sport in America. Whether we are rooting for a specific team, playing Fantasy Football or wagering on a game, all too often we take for granted the physical toll it takes for these athletes to provide our entertainment. RotoExperts is using its leveraged position in the Fantasy Sports space to make certain that this does not go unnoticed.
In the coming days you are going to hear about an alliance between RotoEpxerts and the Gridiron Greats Assistance Fund (GGAF), a non-stock, non-profit 501(c)3 organization providing financial grants and 'pro bono' medical assistance to retired NFL players in dire need. The association is designed to provide much needed funds for a worthy cause. The organization focuses on the humanitarian side of post-football related issues, which include coordination of social services to retired players who are in need due to a variety of reasons including inadequate disability and/or pensions.
The GGAF's mission is to assist dire need retired NFL players who were pioneers of the game and who have greatly contributed to the NFL's status as the most popular sport in America.
