Is there anyone besides me that finds it odd Tim Tebow was the most popular player in the NFL last year about this time and is now for all intents in purposes out of the league? The strangest part about it is that Tebow didn’t really have much to do with that, at least from the standpoint of failing to perform on the field. It’s almost as if he was forced to sit out the year…
Here’s the other interesting thing. Peyton Manning advanced the Broncos no further in the playoffs than Tebow did. They both sustained a loss in the AFC Divisional Playoff round. I know the circumstances were totally different and Tebow didn’t have to overcome a secondary that let the opposing receivers run by them at will like Manning did, but Tebow didn’t get 14-points added to his team’s total from a punt return and kick-off return either. In the end, whatever the reasons and circumstances, Manning was not able to advance the Denver Broncos any further in the playoffs than Tim Tebow.
Hey, you don’t suppose Tebow and his family were happy about the Broncos loss to the Ravens do you? Check out this tweet from Peter Tebow, Tim’s older brother yesterday after the game.
DOH! Maybe Jesus was watching after the Tebow’s after all….?
