Here’s Tiger Woods Flicking Rory McIlroy’s Ear

The U.S. Open started today. The U.S. Open Champions Dinner was Tuesday. Veteran golfer Tiger Woods was there. Young chap Rory McIlroy was there. One moment, he let his guard down, and he did not have his lovely Danish girlfriend, Caroline Wozniacki, there to help him. (Or she is out of the picture frame, helpless.)

If McIlroy flutters at the tournament, chalk it up to ear pain. Ear-flicks are underrated-painful.

I would bet that this pix is NOT from the u.s. open (as implied), this year or any year.

It’s not. It’s from the U.S. Open Champions dinner.

it’s clearly a photo taken outside. why would golfers at the champions’ dinner be posing outside before the public? why would they be participating in some organized, formal, public ceremony? it is hard for me to imagine that such an event would be part of a champions’ dinner.

Hey dumbass I belong to Merion and the clubhouse’s green awnings are in the backdrop. It was held there. Press was invited.

ardmoreliving, are you calling ME a dumbass!? i hope not. i would expect marion members to be more genteel, but my presumptions may well be in error.

in any event, i am NOT arguing that the picture was NOT taken at marion. the point I was TRYING to make — obviously made clumsily — is there is no logic that the picture was taken at this year’s “champions dinner” at marion. a champions dinner would APPEAR NOT to involve a PUBLIC gathering of the champions on the clubhouse LAWN and, thus, a public ceremony, which this picture (which clearly was taken outside) implies. what did the champions do? come outside in coats and ties, sit there a while, listen to some speeches, and THEN go inside to eat? why would they do it that way? I can’t imagine. but I could be mistaken.
(some folks can get all lathered up over not much.)
