Avery Johnson Jr. Is Not So Thrilled With Avery Johnson’s Firing

Avery Johnson’s son, Avery Johnson Jr., is apparently on Twitter. He has also heard the news that his father was fired by the Brooklyn Nets today.
As expected, he is less than pleased, tweeting and retweeting Johnson-boosting facts and comforting sympathy.
Dam they to avery Johnson. Move em that’s messed up.smh

This is a fuxking Outrage. My dad is a great coach, he just got coach of the month and they Fire him. #Smh. Completely new team he had.

Avery Johnson was coach of the month in October and Novemeber.

The expectations were way to high for this team. We didn’t even have a losing record…. Didn’t even give my dad a full season. #OUTRAGE

I’m sorry are best players couldn’t make open shots. Yeah that’s my dads fault totally…
— Avery Johnson Jr. (@itsaveryjohnson) December 27, 2012
Avery Johnson isn’t only a good coach, but a good guy. I wish him all the best, will miss him around here .

@javi_n_misa @nanumanu @edgedout @itsaveryjohnson That’s crap. AJ deserves better. Deron Williams strikes again. #ajcomebackhome
— Gus (@DoubleG79) December 27, 2012
Andray Blatche, who was retweeted by Johnson Jr., also expressed his dismay on Twitter.
Thanx coach Avery for everything
— andray blatche (@drayblatche) December 27, 2012
After a rocky start to his career in Washington, Johnson gave Blatche a second chance. And he has excelled, especially when Brook Lopez was hurt and he was thrusted into the starting lineup. But it’s onward and upward for the Nets, stuck with a financially inflexible roster and moving the only potentially moving parts.
