BREAKING: Bobcats Fans Exist, And They Really Don’t Like The Cody Zeller Pick

Cody Zeller Charlotte Bobcats BooFive minutes ago, I called the Charlotte Bobcats No. 4 overall draft pick, Cody Zeller, “Darkody Zeller.” That is because he is soft and I expect his NBA performance to resemble that of notorious NBA Draft bust (and beacon of racism?), Darko Milicic. And when you combine their names, cross-cultural comedy forms.

It’s also because I once spent an entire Michigan-Indiana game heckling him, and a Michigan fan oddly defended him with a fervor reserved for a Tebowian churchgoer, “Hey, he’s a great player, man! Stop calling him a useless pile of booger-filled, store-brand tissues, or I’ll call security! I reiterate: a Michigan fan.

I like Bobcats fans. They agree with my assessment.

Hey, at least he made a funny joke:

It’s funny because he’s an overgrown child.

  • Jordan Laesch

that only makes you sound worse, bro, I would just delete that comment and move onto your next deadspin-wannabe sarcastic blog post

whatever it’s all opinion but seeing how cody has a 3 point shot that he never got to use in college (not sure why crean didn’t let him take a few), its easy to understand why the gm’s took him, they said in their presser they wanted a big who can shoot 3′s – a “stretch four” and cody might be able to develop into that or maybe he won’t but writing him off this early before he grows into a man’s body is just living in the moment, (sorry for the real sports talk but what do I know, I only watched every one of his college games)

hey, ya could be right man. i just personally don’t like the guy. i’m biased.

i personally think he’s too soft to play down low and not athletic enough to play outside. he doesn’t really play like a stretch-4 imo.

but he’s obviously very talented, and it wouldn’t be a shock if he became good.

The only similarities between Zeller and Darko involve their height and the color of their skin. I would hardly call that an analysis, but I would call it a pretty awful comparison. Zeller was a proven player in college. Darko was a 17 year old unproven player who was drafted because of his upside. You must have missed the coverage of the NBA combine where Zeller ran the floor and definitely played the part of a top 5 pick.

It’s an an absolute travesty that I have to sign in to down-vote this garbage. I do have a tip for you: check out http://www.basketball-reference.com and learn about the game of basketball. Hell, check out the sister sites as well to learn about the other sports.

If Boys like on the Video Boooooo…. him not playen his first game for the BOBCATS….. KEEP YOUR MOUTH SHUT… said by someone that loves the BULLS ,,,, LET THE KID BE DRAFTED AND LET HIM PLAY….. “LOSERS ON COURTSIDE” IF YOU THINK YOUR A BETTER PLAYER OR BETTER COACH..!! DO YOUR LIZENZ AND DO IT BETTER …. CYPER SPORTS NOOBS AND COACHES ;-) …. “IN THE 2020 DRAFT PICK a FAN from TODAY was SELECTED to be BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOED” … WAKE UP FAN..!! .Start playen !

Not athletic enough?? That’s obvious you barely watched the kid play ball at all. Cody is an ahletic freak for his size he is quicker than some guards and fowards. He beat every positions’ average at the combine in 3/4 court sprints and Lane agility. Plus he was under used at Indiana.

Him getting out and running in transition will set him apart from a whole lot of big men in this league. I also fill a majority of Bobcat fans are just like you bias, and watched nearly non of the kid play and bought into the media hype of Noel and Len. Zeller was the best big man in this draft and the only complete big man. At times he was soft but Noel would get pushed aroung at a little over 200, Len might have trouble with stress fractures.

Also I hope you weren’t a Plumblee lover for a big man in the NBA cause if you wanna talk soft then the Plumblees are the definition of soft

i’m way better than cody at basketball. i’m 5-foot-7

it’s a horrible comparison. it was a joke

not athletic enough to play outside, like, as a small forward. plenty athletic for a big man. i watched plenty of him, i just don’t like him. i hate plumlee too and my team drafted him :(
