Marc Gasol Has Tea Party With Cancer Patients At St. Jude, Wins The Day

The day is still young — it’s not even 10 a.m. yet here on the East Coast — but Marc Gasol, Rudy Gay, and the rest of the Grizzlies have already won it. Here are some photos from their recent trip to St. Jude children’s research hospital in Memphis.

    Congratulations, great attitude.

As a cancer survivor, I was touched to see these big guys sitting there having a tea party. Good work fellas.

It’s great to see the NBA actually has a few gentlemen to be proud of. Well done!

Pretty obvious it wasn’t Gasol’s first visit there since his picture is on the wall from a previous visit. Great job!

I have a son who was treated for Leukemia at STJ. StJ saved his life. Thank you donors and celebs for supporting such a miraculous institution!

They say that laughter is the best medicine and I’m sure that these kids got some laughs at watching marc get in and out of that chair!  Way to go , guys!  I’m so happy that the Grizz are full of great guys!

Not only is it fantastic that the NBA has events like this, but it seems like Gasol and Gay are truly enjoying themselves. They might be there out of obligation, but they clearly realize the importance of this visit. I’m not saying they wouldn’t go otherwise (Gasol’s picture on the wall begs to differ), just saying this is so very cool of the team and the players.
