The Brooklyn Nets Have Fired Head Coach Avery Johnson

After starting the season 11-4, the Brooklyn Nets are 14-14. Avery Johnson has been blasted by players and media alike for his isolation-heavy offense, and basketball’s triumphant return to Brooklyn has been marred by controversy.

And now this, via the all-knowing Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo!:

According to Chris Broussard, P.J. Carlesimo has been named the interim head coach.

Deron Williams is now 2 for 2 on coaches ousted. Only if he shot so well from the three-point line.
