Chad Ochocinco Proposed In The Saddest Way Possible

Love him or hate him, Chad Ochocinco (or Johnson, whatever his name is these days) is quirky and creative. He’s the type of guy you’d expect to give a wedding proposal that goes viral. But that wasn’t exactly the case. His proposal to Evelyn Lozada happened a while ago on Basketball Wives, but wasn’t caught on camera. And that’s probably a good thing. Lozada appeared on V-103 radio last Friday and spilled the beans on his proposal, and the segment came to our attention today:

“I wish I had a really romantic story to tell you, but it’s not so romantic. A jeweler came to the house, had a few rings, he had my ring in a separate box. I, of course, chose that one. [Chad] had a headset on and he was like, ‘You like it?’ and I was like, ‘Yep’ and I put it on and he goes, ‘Okay cool,’ and he started playing Call of Duty.”

There’s no saving this. It’s not funny, it’s not romantic, it’s not creative. It’s not quirky, it’s not classy. It’s just sad. And for a guy lauded for his awesome celebrations, you think he’d go with something a little more energy than “Okay cool,” followed by some Xbox.

    he’s left himself an out, genius!…  “proposal?  what proposal, woman?”…  just because she took it that way is a big assumption on her part unless he subsequently acknowledged it in some way…

    When my fiance “proposed” he came up to me while I was getting ready for work, showed me a nice little ring, and said “See if this fits!”. It did, and I left for work 5 minutes later. haha.

    Not all proposals have to be huge and romantic. I think I would have felt weird if my fiance had done something big.

    Unconventional and a slap in the face to traditional media’s idea of romance? Yeah, sure, but you know what? Fuck tradition. If they’re both happy, let ‘em keep on keeping on!

    I think the sadder thing is that she went along with it..Way to have a ton of self esteem lady.

    My husband proposed as I was falling asleep by saying “we should get married, would you marry me?” I said, “Yeah, I guess”. he had no ring.

    She’s too busy tossing other guys salads and throwing bottles & he doesn’t care , because he knows what she is and it ain’t pretty. Can anyone say low self esteem all round !

    Yeah,shes trash in every way you can describe the word, he aint much better, the marriage won’t last.Hell she fk him the very first date whats that say for the type of woman she is..If I remember correctly he and her had a convo where he was saying to her things like wanting other woman and would she be able to handle that situation if they got married..her reply was make sure you discuss it with me first.wow…..no class no self respect,nuttin,, they both deserve one another, you watch and mark my words that marriage aint gonna last  very long at all he acts like a child,and very arrogant,I personally find nothing about him inside or out attractive….loool@kenoking4 comment…..
