So the Eagles were leading the Redskins 26-7 at halftime, outgaining them 322-75 in Chip Kelly’s NFL coaching debut … and now Philly has just scored again (someone needs to tell Mike Shanahan he passed away two years ago). Get ready for the NFL’s meme du jour, America.

Of course you know that Twitter will just use Chip Kelly until November, then throw him on the scrapheap with all the other coaches it has destroyed.

    yeah it only worked for a half and then the skins figured it out.

    No, actually if you watched the game, it worked for a half and stopped because the EAGLES stopped USING it. The Redskins didn’t figure anything out; the Eagles just switched into “Kill as much time as possible” mode, most likely because Kelly wanted his first win under his belt. They sat on their lead, and anyone with a brain in sports knows that if you sit on a lead, the other team will come back.

    If the Eagles played the second half, like they did their first, they would have scored 50 points.

    He is absolutely right, all you have to do is look at the types of defenses they were in during the 4th quarter, it was all prevent, dime formations.
