Jovan Belcher’s Daughter Will Receive Financial Support From NFL Through College

According to NFL.com’s Ian Rapoport, via Twitter, Jovan Belcher and Kasandra Perkins’ three-month-old daughter Zoey will receive financial support from the league until she starts college.
Belcher’s daughter Zoe will be financially cared for. Per CBA: She gets $108K/year over 4, $48K in 1 year, then $52K until she’s 18 or 23
— Ian Rapoport (@RapSheet) December 5, 2012
In translation, Zoey’s “guardian or estate” will receive $108,000 a year, Zoey will receive $48,000 when she turns five years old, and then $52,000 a year until she turns 18 or 23, depending on whether or not she goes to college, which she should have no trouble affording should she decide to.
When asked by a follower how Rapoport knew so much about the CBA, he replied:
@_frizzle_ Spoke to a source with in-depth knowledge of the CBA

As for how the baby is doing now, Belcher’s mother, Cheryl Shepard, said Wednesday that Zoey is doing “fine.”
