Richard Sherman Mic’d Up: You Honestly Will Not Believe What He Said To Make Michael Crabtree Shove Him

You no longer have to wonder what Seattle Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman said to Michael Crabtree following the NFC Championship to provoke him into an angry shove. He was mic’d up on the play. And honestly, what he said will shock you. But not in the way you’re expecting.

“Hell of a game. Hell of a game.” Shades of Dez Bryant. …Anyone still want to call him a “thug?”

If he acted that way with Erin Andrews, we wouldn’t need 10 billion stories dissecting this guys behavior in the 4 or 5 interviews in the aftermath of this game.

He’s being called a classless jerk, You hacks in the media are the ones who keep being up “thug” to look to give him a pass. He acted like a a-hole and now we have the media acting like hacks to try and give the guy a pass. Enough

Get over it. The FAUX outrage over this is pathetic. It’s sports and there is trash talking in sports. He was responding to Crabtree. If Crabtree can’t handle the rebuttal, he should keep his mouth shut. You sound like a typical 40whiner fan.

Is a typical Shehawk fan someone who pelts a guy being carted off the field (with a gruesome leg injury) with food?

  • JerseyShoreGiant

Richard Sherman looks like Busta Rhymes

In reality they are totally unrelated.

No it’s not typical. If it happened, I do NOT condone it. With the group watching with me, we were sad to see it happened because he’s a good guy and we felt bad he will probably miss most of next season. If you are going to judge every Hawks fan based on what a very few did, then I guess we can judge all of you Obamatrons when one of you does something like say bite the finger off of someone who disagrees with you politically.

Every city has some shitty fans. Some people are just a-holes. You can’t judge a whole fan based on just what one stupid fan does. Otherwise I could say all San Fran fans are theives because in the NLCS a have got his tickets stollen at gun point. Hell the 49ers had a guy on the sidelines put an elbow in to the seahawks gunner on a punt return. I guess that makes them all cheaters who take cheap shots right?

Don’t like being stereotyped yet, but you know what a typical niners fan is all about, I am not a niners fan by the way or an Obamatron, Just wondering when Crabtree pushed him, why Sherman punked out? You got something to say to the man he is right there…Oh, you rather wait for Erin Andrews to go all agro. because you have the camera all to yourself. I get it, Dude likes the attention, personally it would piss me off if I was his teammate. Don’t remember him throwing any TDs or blocking for any big runs, or calling any great plays. He made a contribution, but you don’t draw the attention to yourself and away from the team victory. It was a punk move, Crabtree was a punk for pushing away his hand. But Sherman shouldn’t get a pass for his behavior because someone subsequently called him a thug, and he connected some racial connotation to the proper definition of the word. Its admirable that he is self made, that he was outstanding academically and graduated from a prestigious university. But I will never say to my kids, see the way that guy acted after the game, I want you to follow his example.

I really don’t think the perception of Richard Sherman was a “thug”. I have never heard him portrayed as such. I have heard him classified as “arrogant”, “cocky”, “brash”, “eccentric”, “smart”, “an asshole”, and “a competitor”. What sucks is that only about half of those characteristics were visible from his interview. I am a Niner fan through and through, and I still can’t knock this man’s talent. But at some point I wish I could tell the media, or Sherman himself, “OKAY we get it … not a thug…but still a DOUCHE!”

  • dasitmane13

I am glad you pointed out that you and your group were bummed to see it. I am a Niner fan, and MAN, it was tough watching that, just because of the type of guy Bowman is. So I feel you on that. BUT, come on, no way he’s missing most of next season. THAT BOY’S STRONG! Have faith. Rivalry restored next season. Still hate your team though, haha.

  • dasitmane13

That is actually a good point. But he is very calculated in his approach. Meaning, Sherm knows what he is doing. Skip even called him out on this in that infamous interview.. he asked him if he is “building his brand” as opposed to letting his play do the talking. He is becoming a household name, day by day, minute by minute. 2 weeks of media before the Super Bowl, and the only thing being talked about is the excitement to hear what Sherman has to say. I hate that he is playing the whole “I am from Compton, but not a thug” thing so heavily, but hey, the man earned his soapbox. Still, respect his ability and his hustle, but HATE that he is not a Niner
