300: Teen Rager At Ex-NFL Lineman’s House While He’s Away, And the Aftermath That Will Surprise You

What do you get when you combine Project X and the Vancouver riots? This story, in which roughly 300 teens and other young’uns thought it would be cool to let loose and trash other people’s property. And as in the case of the hockey riot, social media made it possible to identify many of the culprits.

It happened in Stephentown, N.Y. over Labor Day weekend, when a bunch of kids broke in to the home of former New England Patriots lineman Brian Holloway and proceeded to throw a rager, pretty much trashing the place.

Of course this being 2013 brought to you by Verizon/T-Mobile, most of the perpetrators outed themselves on YouTube, Twitter and Facebook. Derp. Holloway combed through those media outlets and gathered as many photos and tweets as possible.

But instead of using the info to exact terrible vengeance in a Batman/Dark Knight sort of way, he created the web site Help Me Save 300 — an effort to identify and then try and help the kids at the center of the destruction. Holloway says he’s afraid that the drinking and drugging behavior seen at the party will ruin their lives, and he wants to stop that. Holloway:

“We need to take a stand and respond as a community. The next flash party, I guarantee you, is being planned right now, and it’s not going to be at my house. It’s going to be at someone else’s.”

Make no mistake, however: this is tough love. Holloway has gathered the names of the majority of the party-goers and has turned them over, along with dozens of photos, tweets and Instagram messages, to the sheriff’s department. Just as in the Vancouver riots, charges are sure to be coming.

On “Help Me Save 300″, Holloway recounted one especially sad piece of damage to his home:

One of the stolen items was a granite eagle, of great value to our family; it’s the headstone for my grandson, Dyanni who died at child birth. So I would really appreciate this student who has Dyanni’s Eagle would return it. I think she goes to Coho’s High School. In the tweet below, you can see her with Danni’s Eagle. It was stolen.

The eagle was returned (it’s unclear by whom). And some teens showed up recently to help clean up the house. But like the recent Jacksonville Jaguars’ “Sign Tim Tebow” rally, not many showed up.

The Times Union:

Holloway, who lives in Florida, said about $20,000 in damage was done inside and outside the home he bought in the 1980s. The intruders broke windows, urinated on carpeted floors, scrawled graffiti on the walls and left piles of garbage in the house and on the grounds.

Not only that, but now Holloway is getting threats. Yep.

Holloway has since posted about 90 names of kids he’s been able to tie to the party, angering some parents. “Yeah, I got some threats, you know, ‘We’re gonna get you, and we know where your home is,’ and you know ‘houses do get firebombed,’” Holloway told wnyt.com.

Unbelievable.

Anyway, here are a bunch of the photos taken during the party. Can you identify anyone? You can bet that many of the parents already have.

White, suburban dumb-asses. Who the ‘eff’ raises kids like this?

  • Michael

    White, suburban dumb-asses…

  • Natalie

what a sad bunch of punks! They’re real bad azzes when destroying what other people have had to work all their life to get…..can’t wait till these punks “grow up” and get a hard dose of reality smack in their faces

  • ThunderPuss 5000

    Good one :-)

  • azra

I would make all those idiots clean the property !!
Unacceptable seriously this only happens in the USA for some kind of odd reason , these kids/ young adults need to be ashamed of them selfs not only them but also their parents for raising morons !! And it has nothing to do with race it has to do with stupidity and lack of respect for others .. If it was my house I would make them buy all my stuff back

I saw Mr. Holloway on CNN discussing this criminal case. Mr.Holloway is being too nice. These punks are criminals. These criminals need to be arrested. Their parents need to be sued civilly for not providing adequate supervision for their children and preventing this crime to happen by their children. The parents need to be sued for the damage and stress their children caused and contributed to the Holloway family and their home. These punks’ parents need to be sued for the depreciation of the Holloway’s property value because nobody in their right mind will want to live in that neighborhood and community. All of the neighbors in that neighborhood who are not participants in perpetrating this crime should sue the criminals’ parents as well for the negative impact on their property’s value. Mr.Holloway and his family are victims of a crime. I want to know: was their house targeted because they are black and these white kids thought they could do this criminal activity and get off scot free because the victim is a minority? Is this a hate crime? Could be? Any parent who defends their child’s part in this crime or is angry at Mr.Holloway for forwarding this arrogant egocentric narcissistic evidence to the public are aiding and abetting criminals themselves, as well as, intimidating a victim. If any of these juvenile delinquents’ parents utters a pejorative remark or threat toward Mr. Holloway and/or his family, those parents should be arrested for intimidating a victim. I wonder if these people realize that college admissions officers and employers now vet applicants through news articles, arrest records, Facebook posts, and Twitter feeds. No joke. That was my job. I am forwarding this article to everyone I know. FYI- If you punks don’t get into the college of your choice or the job you want; make an educated guess as to why.

What about the parents who are appearing to stand up for the kids by threatening Mr. Holloway. Sounds like to me the fruit isn’t falling too far from the tree. If I found out that one of my kids had done something like this Mr. Holloway would be the least of my kid’s worries.

  • Susan Bowen McGregor

We had partys when we were kids and things sometimes hot out of hand but we never broke into someones house vanadalized stole graffitied etc guess thars because iur oarents believed on tough love. Hope these kids get some

  • Will Radcliff

What a bunch of worthless idiots. If they are so stupid that they are going to do this, they should have at least done it at Aaron Hernandez’s house instead

I shared your post to my FB. You are absolutely right. Some of those teenagers are now threatening and harassing me and other people criticizing them on Twitter. Elitist, delusional, entitled, narcissistic, sociopathic brats. They’re nuts. The parents are nuts to defend their kids and further threaten that poor man and his family. I also thought it was because it’s an African-American family and that’s one of the many reasons these townies targeted him. I think you’re correct on this.

  • Emily Newsome

Good. Thank you. I hope every college admissions person and human resources coordinator has a similar list to avoid letting those idiots in. Their parents should be proud their kids are so famous.

  • Lessons Learned?

Not as bad as what two brothers did to their own home when their parents were out of town where. I was in high school. Dancing on the roof and fireworks – inside the house. The place was destroyed. But here’s the real kicker. They did it TWICE.

  • Bendy Bentley

Any parent who didnt swiftly punish their kid for this is a sorry POS. And it does not matter if anyone knows you didnt, you are still a POS, and YOU know it. So do your children. You have failed them, and society, and hopefully, someone will do this to you some day. Raising kids like this increases your odds of being murdered by your sociopathic child when they decide they want your money NOW. Sleep well.
