WTF, Ref? RGIII Injured, Kirk Cousins Takes It On The Chin

It’s tough out there for a Washington quarterback. According to Troy Aikman, an official was looking right at this play as Broncos’ linebacker Wesley Woodyard leads with his helmet and crushes Washington quarterback Kirk Cousins right in the chin in the fourth quarter today. There was no penalty. Either we’re going to have helmet-to-head rules or we aren’t … pick a lane, NFL. This is ridiculous.

What was Cousins doing in the game? RGIII hurt his left knee, and was taken out as a precaution (the Broncos were well ahead).

Gif via.

That noise you heard as if a million souls cried out at once was the death of hope, when Cousins threw a pick six to Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie. But at least Cousins ran all the way to the end zone, while R-Cromartie acted like a punk and high-stepped the last 40 yards in Cousins’ face.

So NFL, is taunting a penalty or isn’t it? Pick a lane. Bad, bad day for the officials.

Quick! What’s the Number For The Wambulance?!?!?

The refs also missed Trindon Holliday getting his head ripped off, on a vicious facemasking no call. This game was pretty brutal.

Quit whining about a DB acting like a punk on a pick 6, its the NFL it happens all the time.

If they keep making rules within a few years the N.F.L. will be playing flag football.

What next? Professional boxers won’t be allowed to hit above the shoulders.

Let me guess, RG3 getting hurt should have drawn a flag too. Go ahead and pretend that Denver got all the calls. Fact Holliday got his helmet turned around for an EASY call that got missed, as well as the Manning get his facemask grabbed when he was in the pocket that got missed. Is Woodyard going to be fined? Absolutely. Should he be fined? Absolutely. Would this penalty have changed the game? No. Nothing but sore losers looking to blame the refs for giving up a 14 point lead and getting shut down by statistically one of the worst defenses in football. Did DRC have to celebrate from 70 yards out? No, but can you blame a guy for being excited about a big interception and a clear path to the end zone? I agree with taunting penalties after big hits and things of that nature, but i guess it should be a penalty now if someone gets their feelings hurt too. Everyone claims they want the old football back until it doesnt go their way.

And props to Cousins for getting up like a man and chasing down DRC
