If you hoped to get your hands on Lonestar Casino free money, you might be disappointed: the site doesn’t offer real money play. But you can get free virtual currencies to play with, and we’re here to show you how.
As a leading sweepstakes casino, Lonestar offers all its games for free play using site-specific virtual currencies, which you can certainly get for free. We take you through all the ways to boost your virtual currency reserves so you can play more and for longer. While not exactly “free money,” you can make redemptions for real prizes using Sweeps Coins.
It is important that you read the Lonestar Casino rules before you sign up, since the site doesn’t operate the same way as a traditional online gaming platform. Lonestar uses a sweepstakes gaming model, which allows the site to offer its services in most states across the US.
All games that Lonestar offers are free for you to play, but this also means there is no real money play or winnings that get paid out. Instead, Lonestar gives you several ways to accumulate its virtual currencies, Gold Coins and Sweeps Coins, which you use to play games and win back more.
When you play at Lonestar, you’ll primarily use Gold Coins, which are easier to come by. But you can also play using Sweeps Coins, which you can also collect, play through, and redeem for real prizes.
Here is an overview of how the virtual currencies work at Lonestar Casino:
| Features | Gold Coins (GC) | Sweeps Coins (SC) |
|---|---|---|
| Mode used for playing | Standard mode | Promotional mode |
| Key purpose | Playing games only | Playing games and redeeming prizes |
| Monetary value | None | None |
| Available for redemption | No | Yes |
| Minimum number required for redemption | N/A | 45 SC for gift cards; 100 SC for cash prizes |
| Redemption play-through requirement | N/A | 1x |
| Claimed through | Bonuses and optional purchases | Bonuses |
Everyone wants to know: does Lonestar give free money? And the answer is no. Lonestar Casino is a sweepstakes site, so you do not play for real money. However, as a sweepstakes gaming site, the platform does give you free virtual currencies, called Gold Coins and Sweeps Coins.
Lonestar also lets you collect Sweeps Coins, and once you have collected 45 or more and played through them all at least 1x, you can redeem them for real prizes. But remember, you’ll also need to complete the Lonestar Casino verification process before your redemption request is approved.
Lonestar wants you to play its 500+ games, so it makes it easy to get your hands on free Sweeps Coins and Gold Coins. There are several routes to getting free virtual currencies from the site, which we unpack for you below:
The first way to get more free Gold Coins and Sweeps Coins is to play games at Lonestar Casino.
If you choose to play in Standard Mode, you’ll play using Gold Coins, which means any winnings you make in this mode will also be added to your Lonestar profile as Gold Coins.
The same goes for Sweeps Coins. If you play in promotional mode, you use your SC to play and win them back. This is also a good option if you want to play through your collected Sweeps Coins to meet the 1x playthrough requirement.
Whether you’re claiming a Jackpota daily login bonus or a Lonestar Casino welcome offer, the easiest way to get free virtual currencies to play with is by unlocking bonuses. Below, you can find a list of the promos Lonestar offers and what they give you:
| Lonestar bonus | What the promo offers |
|---|---|
| Lonestar welcome promo | 100K Gold Coins + 2.5 SC FREE |
| Lonestar daily login bonus | |
| Mail-in/AMoE offer | 1 Free SC |
| Refer-a-friend bonus | 200,000 GC + 70 SC (for each successful referral) |
| Social media offers | Varying amounts of free GC and SC |
It is important to remember that while you may need to use Jackpota promo codes for existing players to unlock that sweepstakes casino’s ongoing offers, the bonuses at Lonestar rarely need a bonus code.
If you want free Sweeps Coins specifically, the best way to get them is through Gold Coin bundle purchases, which provide free SC as a bonus. Below, we outline the number of free SC you get for each bundle.
But before we do, it is important that we point out that there is no obligation for you to make a GC bundle purchase. Gameplay does not rely on these purchases, and if you choose to get a bundle, it is entirely optional.
With that cleared up, here are the Lonestar Casino bundle options and the free SC up for grabs with each one:
| GC Bundle | Gold Coins | Free Sweeps Coins | VIP Points |
|---|---|---|---|
| $2.99 | 15,000 GC | 0 SC | 30 VIP Points |
| $5.99 | 30,000 GC | 6 SC | 60 VIP Points |
| $9.99 | 50,000 GC | 10 SC | 100 VIP Points |
| $19.99 | 100,000 GC | 20 SC | 200 VIP Points |
| $49.99 | 250,000 GC | 52 SC | 500 VIP Points |
| $99.99 | 500,000 GC | 105 SC | 1,000 VIP Points |
As a sweepstakes casino, Lonestar doesn’t give you free money. However, you can get your hands on free virtual currencies, which you can use to play the 500+ games on the site. Gold Coins and Sweeps Coins are easy to find at Lonestar, which lets you amass them through playing games, claiming bonuses, or making GC bundle purchases.
If you collect 45 or more Sweeps Coins and play through them, you can redeem them for real prizes, which, in our opinion, is just as good as Lonestar Casino free money. If you’re ready to claim your free SC or GC and play at Lonestar, click one of our banners to launch the site and get signed up.
