Patrik Schick Crushes for Czech Republic
Hero of the Night: Patrick Schick
Good luck trying to find anyone that had a better Monday than Patrik Schick of the Czech Republic. The 25-year old who plays his club football for Bayer Leverkusen in Germany scored not one but two goals against Scotland to secure all three points for the Czechs.
One of those strikes was an absolute wonder goal as it beat the Scottish keeper from 49.7 meters out.
One of the best goals you will ever see! 🥅

Schick Makes History
UEFA, Europe’s soccer governing body, stated that it was the longest distance for a goal in the tournament’s history. Schick and Romelu Lukaku are tied atop the leaderboard as both players scored two goals in their first match of the tournament. However, Schick is currently listed at 26-1 to finish as the top scorer, while Lukaku is priced at +210.
While Lukaku and his Belgian teammates have the third shortest odds to go deep and win the tournament at 6-1, don’t count out the Czechs, who have to like their chances to qualify out of the group considering they have three crucial points already in their pocket.
In 1976, they won the tournament as Czechoslovakia, and in 1996, they were runners-up as the Czech Republic.
