Week 11 College Football Best Bets
Week 11 College Football Best Bets
With COVID-19 cases on the rise, many college football games have been postponed, but Week 11 still features a lot of key matchups. Let’s look at some of the best bets of the week, with all odds being brought to you by our friends at FanDuel.
East Carolina Pirates at #7 Cincinnati Bearcats
Odds: Bearcats -27.5, Over/Under 55.5
The Cincinnati Bearcats are coming off a dominating four-touchdown win over a formidable Houston squad, and yet they still dropped a spot in the rankings. Head Coach Luke Fickell called off the dogs to begin the fourth quarter and rested his starters despite the fact they could have run the score up more. Apparently, 28-point victories aren’t enough anymore, so expect Cincinnati to come out with something to prove against East Carolina Friday night.
The Cincinnati defense has been so incredibly dominant all season long while only allowing 10 points per game, which ranks best in the country. When these two teams met last season, it took a Bearcat fourth-quarter comeback for them to squeak out a 46-43 victory. The Pirates carved up this vaunted defense as quarterback Holton Ahlers threw for over 535 yards. You can bet the farm that defensive coordinator Marcus Freeman has brought this up countless times, and he will have his top-rated defense ready for some revenge come Friday night. It’s senior night in Cincy, and the Bearcats will roll.
Best Bets: Cincinnati -27.5
#2 Notre Dame Fighting Irish at Boston College Eagles
Odds: Fighting Irish -13.5, Over/Under 49.5
The Notre Dame Fighting Irish are coming off their biggest victory in the Brian Kelly era after they beat Clemson in double overtime last weekend. The team they face on Saturday, Boston College, almost pulled off the stunner vs. Clemson the previous week and will get another chance to upset one of college football’s best teams.
The Eagles are no strangers to playing ranked teams this year as this will be their fourth matchup against a top 25 team, and despite that tough schedule, they are 5-3 ATS. Boston College comes into the game as a home underdog, which is good news for BC bettors as they are 5-0 ATS in their last five games as home underdogs. The Irish coming off an emotional victory and this game has a “let-down” game written all over it. Notre Dame will pull it off, but Boston College will keep it close and cover the 13.5 points.
Best Bet: Boston College +13.5
#13 Wisconsin Badgers at Michigan
Odds: Badgers -4.5, Over/Under 53.5
The Wisconsin Badgers have played just one game all season due to their coronavirus breakout but will return to the gridiron after three weeks away. The Badgers looked incredibly impressive to kick off their season, but how will the time off affect their performance when they travel to Ann Arbor this Saturday. John Harbaugh and his Michigan Wolverines are coming off two consecutive losses where they were favored to win in both contests.
Indiana had no issue dissecting the Wolverine defense last week en route to scoring 38 points and blowing Michigan out by 17. The Badgers are 10-2-1 ATS in their last 13 meetings with Michigan. The Wolverines have been one of the worst teams in all of college football against the pass, ranking 105th in the country in yards allowed, and if Badger quarterback Graham Mertz plays, he will expose that weakness en route to putting up big numbers.
Best Bets: Wisconsin -4.5
