Paul Casey is one golfer that has gone under the radar a bit simply because his last two events have been on the European Tour. Casey is ranked 17th according to the Official World Golf Ranking (OWGR), and at 16-1, he still offers value to win the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am.
This is a much weaker field this time around than we’re used to, seeing as you won’t find any player ranked in the OWGR’s top 10 teeing off this weekend. The Englishman was a runner-up to Phil Mickelson at this Pebble Beach in 2019 and actually led after the second and third rounds but failed to keep pace with Mickelson, who shot a 65 on the final round.
Casey comes into this tournament in good form. In the three tournaments he’s played in this calendar year, he has three top-15 finishes, including a win at the Omega Dubai Desert Classic two weeks ago.
Last week, he finished 12th in the Saudi International but shot under 70 in all four rounds.
We know that he’s already had some success at Pebble Beach, so at 16-1, he’s certainly worth a look.
