Cameron Champ and Steve Stricker Withdraw from the Valspar Championship

The Valspar Championship had a couple of WDs on Monday, with Cam Champ and Steve Stricker both withdrawing. Stricker will be replaced by Ryan Brehm, while Sebastian Cappelen is the alternate for Champ.
This shouldn’t have a big impact on the betting odds as Cam Champ was listed at 90-1 on FanDuel Sportsbook before his WD. Champ has strung together some middling performances of late with a T26 at the Masters and a T34 at the Valero Texas Open.
Meanwhile, Stricker recently won the Chubb Classic on the Champions Tour.
As of Monday afternoon, Justin Thomas is the favorite for the Valspar Championship at +900 at FanDuel Sportsbook, followed by Dustin Johnson at +1100. DJ’s odds are still rather short even though his form has taken a hit over the last 20 rounds — ranking just 62nd in the field in Strokes Gained: Approach, per Data Golf.
That said, he certainly has the ability to kick it out of neutral at any time, given he’s the No. 1 golfer in the world and the No. 4 golfer in Data Golf’s rankings.
