MAINE SPORTS BETTING: BEST SPORTSBOOKS AND PROMO OFFERS

Sportsgrid-Staff
In Maine, there are only two regulated sportsbooks in the state. It’s certainly not the best state for sports betting, but at least there’s something! In some states, it’s not even legal to bet on sports.
This article will discuss the best ways to use the two regulated sportsbooks. It also helps you understand what each sportsbook offers and how to use each sportsbook on your mobile phone.
In addition to these two regulated sportsbooks, Maine allows sweepstakes and social sportsbooks in the state. Therefore, you can use many other sports betting sites that are legal and have more relaxed and flexible rules.
We’ll discuss all of this below.

Here are the two regulated sportsbooks in the state.
However, in Maine, you can also use popular social sportsbooks that use the sweepstakes model. Maine allows the sweepstakes models. Thus, these six sportsbooks can be used in Maine.
You’re missing out on much profit if you don’t use these sportsbooks below.

Top-Rated Maine Sportsbook Sites
Maine only has two regulated sportsbooks. But we’ll break down some of the other legal alternative options you should consider in the state.
Caesars Sportsbook in ME
Caesars is one of just two regulated sportsbooks in Maine. However, if you don’t have the sportsbook yet you can sign up with the new user promotion and earn bonus bets.
Additionally, you can take advantage of Caesars’s many odds boosts and promotions. Typically, on a regular weekday, there will be 25+ odds boosts hanging on the app. While the boosts usually have two or more bets parlayed together, there’s still some heavy value with those boots occasionally.
Next to the Boosts tab, you’ll see a “Fire Bets” tab. The FireBets allow you to bet on outcomes as they’re happening. In the MLB, you can get on the result of an at-bat, or in the NFL, you can bet on whether a team will get a first down, for example. It’s a fun way to gamble. But it’s probably not the best way to long-term profit.
That said, Caesars gives solid limits for regular bets and only really takes action when a bettor is consistently live betting. If you’re looking to Live Bet, it might be better to use a different app. But for pre-game bets, Caesars is a great spot.
There’s also Caesars Rewards, which is known to be the best rewards program of all the sportsbooks in the United States. The more you bet, the more points you’ll earn. When the points increase, so will your tier, and eventually, you can get comped rooms, more free bets, or even points that turn into cash at select restaurants at Caesars properties.
DraftKings Sportsbook in ME
DraftKings also has a reputable rewards program. The points are called “Crowns.” You can use them at the DraftKings shop or turn them into money to continue sports betting.
At DraftKings, you will find plenty of promotions beyond the welcome offer where you can earn bonus bets after your first bet using your new account.
There are always profit boosts and odds boosts available to customers. Additionally, like Caesars, DraftKings has a wide range of sports, leagues, and bet types that you can choose from. If a bet exists on the market somewhere, chances are DraftKings has it.
This is 100% legal but just isn’t regulated by the state.
What happens is that you buy coins with real money and then are given the same amount of dollars for free to use as cash.
Fliff limits users to no more than $500 on a specific wager. But they’ve got a ton of different bet types, many leagues, and a really fun interface that will undoubtedly have you coming back for more.
In addition, Fliff now offers a prize play-through where if you deposit $250, you can earn up to $625 if you play through the cash 20 times before withdrawing. You can also earn $12.50 for just 1X play-through on a deposit of $250.
Just note that some users are limited and banned before completing the play-through and can’t withdraw that money. That’s the only concern, but if you don’t use the play-through feature, your money will be withdrawable no matter what.
NoVig in ME
NoVig is one of two betting exchanges available in Maine. At NoVig, you can make peer-to-peer bets against other real people. NoVig is commission-free and ultimately allows users to set their odds.
NoVig is reasonably new, so it’s not super popular with many lines that have liquidity. But they’ve still got a lot of good liquidity for major markets, and player props are gaining traction.
In addition to having some of the best lines on the market, NoVig has a fun rewards section that comes out monthly, where you can earn free NoVig cash just by completing tasks.
One of the tasks is easy enough. All you’ve got to do is log on 25 times consecutively in the month, and you’ll earn $15 free NoVig cash that you can use on the app. Other tasks require more bets and money to be put down, but you can earn a solid amount of NoVig cash if you consistently make bets on NoVig.
ProphetX in ME
ProphetX is the other betting exchange in Maine. Like Fliff and NoVig, it runs with the sweepstakes model but is totally legit and legal.
Also, like NoVig, there are no limits. You can offer a bet for as much as you want and accept an offer for whatever dollar amount is available. If someone is offering a bet for $500, you wouldn’t be able to put $501 down on the bet. Instead, you’d be capped at $500. This isn’t ProphetX limiting you. It’s just the liquidity that is limiting you.
ProphetX is also new to the Sweepstakes side. They had initially been doing business in New Jersey, but the sweepstakes loophole allowed them to quickly add many more states to the site, including Maine.
That said, ProphetX is still a work in progress, just like NoVig. They’ll add more lines in the future, and once more people get onto the site and app, there will be way more liquidity. I’ve already seen lines on ProphetX where the moneyline for a game was -102 and -102 on both sides. You’ll never find that on DratfKings and Caesars.
Legality of Sports Betting in Maine
Maine finally authorized mobile sports betting in 2022. However, there’s still no in-person betting in the state of Maine. If you’d like the sports bet, you must use your phone if you’re currently in Maine.
For most, that’s not an inconvenience. But it’s still odd that Maine has nowhere to bet in person.

How to Use Mobile to Place a Bet in Maine
To bet using a regulated sportsbook, you must download one of the two sportsbook apps available. Make an account and deposit money into your account.
You’ll want to browse all of the wagers listed on the app. Once you find the bet you’d like to place, select it and write the total amount you want to wager. Before submitting, make sure you’ve written the correct number. Then, you’ll submit the bet and sweat out your wager.
If your bet wins, your balance will change to a more significant number. If your bet loses, your balance will shrink.
Available Betting Markets in ME
In Maine, you can bet on almost everything that the sportsbook offers. However, Maine doesn’t allow for in-state college betting. If you’d like to bet on the Maine Black Bears, for example, you wouldn’t be able to do it unless you were in a different state that legalized sports betting.
That said, if you use one of the social sportsbooks mentioned above, there are no guidelines or rules against betting on Maine colleges. Technically, you can still bet on Maine sports in Maine if you use Fliff, NoVig, ProphetX, or another social sportsbook, not DraftKings or Caesars.
Banking and Payment Options Available in Maine

ME Mobile Sports Betting
There aren’t many sportsbooks in Maine to choose from. With only two regulated sportsbooks, it’s hard to line shop and profit long-term with only two sportsbooks.
You’ll want to use social sportsbooks like Fliff, NoVig, and Prophet X.
Fliff offers a ton of lines and often has very valuable bets. Meanwhile, NoVig and Prophet X are betting exchanges that often have very tight lines. These exchanges will take a small percentage of winnings, but you can’t beat their odds and prices overall.
These betting exchanges also won’t limit or ban you. They make a commission on volume from peer-to-peer betting. These sportsbooks are the future of sports betting, so get in on those sportsbooks along with DraftKings and Caesars to have the best betting experience in Maine.
