Tonight, we have an intriguing matchup between American League clubs. The Houston Astros are looking to sweep the Tampa Bay Rays and extend their winning streak to eight games, so we worked up an ultimate same-game parlay for the action.

Valued at +1200, let’s ride!

Swing for the Fences with SportsGrid’s free daily MLB Game Picks and MLB Prop Picks.

Leg 1: Astros ML

The Astros are scorching hot right now, and we have no reason to fade them tonight with Ronel Blanco set to take the mound. Blanco hasn’t been as much of a shut-down starter as he was earlier in the year, but we’re fully confident that he can give us enough of a quality start to allow the Astros’ bats to get going. Zack Littell will be on the bump for the Rays, and while he has been serviceable, we’re not too worried about him tossing a gem against this Astros offense.

Leg 2: Ronel Blanco 6+ Strikeouts

Ronel Blanco tossed seven strikeouts across five innings of work against the Rays in his previous start earlier this month. Across the last two weeks, the Rays have collectively struck out at a 28.6% clip, good for the third-highest mark in baseball. Blanco will be in the game long enough for us to have confidence he can break through the six-strikeout threshold again.

Leg 3: Alex Bregman 2+ Total Bases

Alex Bregman is scorching hot right now. Not only has he launched a home run in four straight games, but he’s also gone eight consecutive games with at least two total bases. What else is there to ask for?

Leg 4: Yanier Diaz 2+ Total Bases

To add to the hot Astros’ bats, we’ll target Yanier Diaz to get us at least two total bases, as he’s done in six of his last seven games. He’s sported a .335 batting average since the start of July. We trust he can continue his momentum to get us two total bases tonight.

Leg 5: Junior Caminero 1+ Hit

On the Rays’ side, we’ll see their highly touted prospect in Junior Caminero, who made his 2024 debut last night. Caminero was MLB.com’s No. 2 overall prospect, touted with having an elite bat. He showed that with his hit last night, so we’ll look for him to do that again. We’re getting a favorable price on him to get a hit at -160, boosting the odds of our parlay massively.
