Leg 1: Orioles ML
We struggle to fade the Astros here, but we don’t like anything about them tonight. They’ll have one of their worst starting pitchers on the mound, Spencer Arrighetti, and will have to go up against one of the AL’s strongest pitchers, Corbin Burnes. Both teams lost their most recent series, but the Orioles should come into tonight much hungrier, as they were walked off in the ninth inning for both of their losses.
Leg 2: Corbin Burnes 5+ Strikeouts
Corbin Burnes has struck out at least five batters in 16 of their last 17 starts, and the Astros have struck out at roughly a league-average rate across the past two weeks. It’s not like the Astros barely strike out, so we’re confident in expecting one of the league’s best arms to get five strikeouts.
Leg 3: Gunnar Henderson 2+ Total Bases
We’re looking to fade Spencer Arrighetti any chance we get tonight, so we’ll keep it simple by touting Gunnar Henderson to record at least two total bases. Henderson has only recorded at least two total bases in six of his last eleven games, but we’ll gladly favor him, with the entire team likely to be extra motivated tonight.
Leg 4: Adley Rutschman 1+ Hit
None of the Orioles’ hitters have been too consistent lately, so sometimes, you must go off of a feel. Adley Rutschman is always a strong candidate to get a hit, and we’re getting a great price on him to get one tonight at -170, giving us an immense value boost to our parlay.
Leg 5: Yordan Alvarez 2+ Total Bases
To close out our parlay, we’ll ride with Yordan Alvarez, as he’s been an absolute terror on the road this year, sporting a .356 batting average compared to just .259 at home. In his brief exposure to Corbin Burnes, he’s gone 2-5 against him with two homers, so we’ll hope he can get us two total bases tonight without impacting the final score.
