8. Alec Bohm
Although Alec Bohm has been a run-producing machine for the Philadelphia Phillies with 70 RBI at the break, it's hard to count on him from a power perspective. Bohm might just be one of the top hitters in MLB, but we're not confident in his skillset in this field.

1. Gunnar Henderson
It's not hard to fall in love with Gunnar Henderson as a player. Henderson is paving his own path as a superstar in this league and is putting up monster numbers for the Baltimore Orioles this year. The O's infielder sits alone in third with 28 home runs at the All-Star break. His competitive spirit and overall power numbers this year make him an appealing play in this big event, and our leading candidate to win it all.
HR Derby Winner Odds: +430
2. Pete Alonso
With two Home Run Derby victories under his belt, it makes sense why Pete Alonso enters this event as the betting favorite. Alonso has put together a solid season for the New York Mets. In saying that, is it realistic, with all the star power in this event, for him to win a third one? With this ranking, we'll give him the respect he deserves, but we'll likely be looking elsewhere.
HR Derby Winner Odds: +300
3. Bobby Witt Jr.
How can you not get behind the excitement that Bobby Witt Jr. captures for this type of event? The youth movement continues to take over MLB, and Witt Jr. is a significant part of that. The Kansas City Royals' budding superstar has clubbed 16 home runs while adding a .928 OPS. The power is real for the Royals slugger, and his drive to win and youthful energy make him a top pick for this big event.
HR Derby Winner Odds: +470
4. Marcell Ozuna
Even with Marcell Ozuna boasting the second-shortest odds to win the 2024 Home Run Derby, we're not entirely sold on what he's bringing. Ozuna has blasted 26 home runs this year and has an elite power stroke. Still, inconsistencies have plagued him throughout his career, and we'd like him much more in this event if his odds were middle of the pack instead of right near the peak.

5. Adolis Garcia
This won't be Adolis Garcia's first appearance in the Home Run Derby, which might entice bettors to look in his direction. When you look at Garcia's frame as a hitter, it's not hard to talk yourself into what he has to offer for this event. We haven't quite seen the power numbers we are accustomed to this year from Garcia, but he's always capable of exploding on any given night.
HR Derby Winner Odds: +500
6. Jose Ramirez
Jose Ramirez has one appearance in the Home Run Derby, which saw him post an early exit. Still, Ramirez can mash and sits in a tie for sixth with 23 dingers at the All-Star break. It won't be a surprise to see a player with the power of Ramirez get hot in this competition. There are other options we prefer on the board ahead of him.
HR Derby Winner Odds: +1200
7. Teoscar Hernandez
There's much to like about how Teoscar Hernandez fits in with the Los Angeles Dodgers. Considering some of the hitters he's batting around, it makes sense that there would be an uptick in production this season. Hernandez has the power to win this type of event; we're just not sure he's one of our top targets, even if he has a substantial value price.
