Alpine Scores Double Points at the 2026 China Grand Prix

Alpine Scores Double Points at the 2026 China Grand Prix

Segment Spotlight: Quick Hits From The Inside Line

Alpine's Performance and Unique Promotional Activities

Alpine F1 Team showcased a significant return to form at the Chinese Grand Prix in 2026, securing their first double points finish of the season. Pierre Gasly finished 6th while Franco Colopinto clinched 10th place, marking his first point at Endstone. Despite an incident where Haas driver Esteban Ocon collided with him during the race, Colopinto's performance was crucial in elevating Alpine from 8th to 7th in the constructors' standings. Alpine's consistent start to the season is bolstered by a stable driver lineup and a lack of impending changes.

Cross-Sport Engagement in Melbourne

During the Australian Grand Prix, Alpine drivers Pierre Gasly and Franco Colopinto engaged in a cross-promotional event with the Australian cricket team. The drivers met with Scott Bland and Glenn Maxwell for a memorable shirt swap atop the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG). Besides showcasing their fireproof racing suits to the cricketers, Gasly and Colopinto also tried their hands at batting, demonstrating a light-hearted and engaging side to their otherwise competitive schedules.

Verstappen’s Ventures in Motorsport

While Formula 1 took a break, Max Verstappen remained active by participating in the Nürburgring 24 Hours with his Mercedes AMG GT3. Verstappen, along with his teammates Jules Gounon and Daniel Juncadella, started the race from pole position and initially led the race. Despite facing strong competition, the team managed a robust performance throughout. However, their victory was later annulled when they were disqualified for exceeding the tire allocation by one set, leading to Dan Harper and Jordan Pepper of Row Racing being declared the winners.
