Leg 1: Timberwolves ML
After Game 1, Chris Finch questioned his team’s effort in the loss. Knowing the makeup of this Wolves team, they’ll rise to their coach’s demand to pick up the intensity rather than fold to the pressure. The Wolves sit as 5.5-point favorites tonight after being 4.5-point favorites in Game 1, telling me that the books expect a strong response. We won’t dabble with the spread, but at the least, I trust the Wolves to knot up the series.
Legs 2 & 3: Anthony Edwards 4+ Assists, 4+ Rebounds
Anthony Edwards has been rather cold as a scorer in recent games, but he’s rounded out his game by being a menace on the glass and a strong passer. In Game 1, despite only scoring 19 points, he also contributed eight assists and eleven rebounds, and tonight, all we’re asking for is four and four.
Legs 4 & 5: Karl-Anthony Towns 2+ Threes, 6+ Rebounds
Karl-Anthony Towns went 2/9 from deep in Game 1 and grabbed seven rebounds, so we’ll expect essentially the same production tonight. It almost felt like the Mavericks were daring Towns to beat them. I don’t anticipate his volume changing much here.
Leg 6: Luka Doncic 25+ Points
Luka Doncic’s scoring was too inconsistent for our liking against the Thunder, so we weren’t comfortable touting him for any scoring props in Game 1. However, after dropping 33 points, I have no issues touting one of the game’s most dynamic scorers to get us 25.
Leg 7: Daniel Gafford 5+ Rebounds
Daniel Gafford has grabbed at least five rebounds in ten straight games, so we have no reason to expect that to end tonight.
Leg 8: PJ Washington 2+ Threes
PJ Washington Jr. has knocked down at least two threes in eight straight games. He’ll have the green light, so we trust he can continue his streak.
Leg 9: Jaden McDaniels 1+ Three
Jaden McDaniels dropped 24 points in Game 1 and went 6/9 from beyond the arc. All we need is for him to hit a single three for us here, so he’ll undoubtedly be trigger-happy from deep after drilling six in Game 1.
