Cleveland at Boston – 7:00 on ESPN
The SportsGrid model has several five-star player prop picks that ensure an exciting game, even if the outcome of the game is not in doubt in the fourth quarter. The Boston Celtics have many options on offense, limiting Jayson Tatum’s need to explode for massive games when his team is in control. The SportsGrid model has a five-star pick on Tatum to go under 26.5 points (scoring 22.9) and under his combined totals of 31.5 for points and assists and 36.5 for points and rebounds. Derrick White has been on fire recently, and the model has that trend continuing tonight with a five-star pick for him to go over 17.5 points and put up at least 20 (20.3).
Switching over to Cleveland, the Cavaliers need a monster game from Donovan Mitchell, plus lots of help from other players. The SportsGrid model has Mitchell going over his posted total of 29.5 points and scoring 31.6 in this contest. The model does not have near that faith in the other Cavaliers players, with the only other strong play being Max Strus going over his made three-point total of 1.5 made triples in Game 2.
Dallas at Oklahoma City – 9:30 on ESPN
The Dallas Mavericks and Oklahoma City Thunder clash on Thursday night, with Dallas needing a bounce-back game from Luka Doncic. Doncic is in a shooting slump, and the SportsGrid model has that continuing in Game 2, placing a five-star pick on Doncic to go under his posted total of 3.5 three-pointers made (2.6) and under the combined total of 40.5 points and rebounds (37.2). He is not alone, as we also have a five-star play on Oklahoma City star Shai Gilgeous-Alexander to go under his posted total of 35.5 points and assists, only putting up a combined 31.5.
There are several over recommendations in this game for role players. The strongest play is Josh Giddey, scoring more than 7.5 points. The SportsGrid model has Giddey reaching 11.3 and comfortably going over. That pick is joined by Jaylin Williams, Aaron Wiggins and Josh Green all exceeding small totals.
