Wolves vs Lakers Best ATS Bet: Wolves -1 (-110)
Did I miss when the Lakers became a good team? What did they do this offseason to be just a one-point underdog against a stacked Timberwolves team? The Wolves are loaded and better than the Lakers in every facet. Anthony Edwards will be the best player on the floor, their bench is deeper, and they are a far better defensive team. Home-court advantage isn’t worth much in the NBA, so I’ll look for the Wolves to kick off their season off with a win on the road as the better team all-around. FanDuel currently has the best odds for the Timberwolves at -1, promo, where you can bet $5 on tonight’s game and get $300 in bonus bets AND 3 months of NBA League Pass for FREE if your first bet on your account wins.

Wolves vs Lakers Best Total Bet: Wolves Team Total OVER 110.5 (-110)
The Timberwolves weren’t necessarily a prolific offensive team last year, but they were able to score when needed and now have legitimate scoring options off the bench. The Wolves team total is just at 110.5, so am I supposed to have trust in a Lakers’ defense that stunk last season to turn things around? Let alone in the first game. Unless JJ Redick became a defensive wizard as a broadcaster, unlike in his playing days, the Lakers will be bad defensively again this season, so I’ll look for the Wolves to exceed their team total mark.

Wolves Top Prop: Donte DiVincenzo 15+ Points (+150)
Even though Karl-Anthony Towns and Julius Randle were the two big pieces in the trade a few weeks back, it seemed like the Wolves’ driving force to get a deal done was so they could add Donte DiVincenzo to their bench. They have big plans for how they will use him, and he’ll be much more than just a spot-up outside shooter like the Knicks, who often deployed him last season. His over-under tonight is sitting at 12.5, but we’re bullish on him, so we’ll target him to reach the 15-point mark at a juicy +150 price.
Lakers Top Prop: D’Angelo Russell 6+ Assists (+115)
The Lakers are putting a lot of trust in D’Angelo Russell to be a solid point guard after his postseason disaster. In the regular season, he exceeded the six-assist mark in three of four meetings against the Wolves, with the one miss being just a 20-minute game for Russell. At +115, I like the value I’m getting here.
