The return of Pierre Brooks II and Jahmyl Telfort immediately provides the Bulldogs with one of the top returning duos in the conference. They are both physical forwards who can handle the ball and knock down perimeter shots as well. Thad Matta would be smart to rely on them for leadership and plenty of minutes this season.

Kolby King and Patrick McCaffery enter as upperclassman transfers who can impact the team right away as starters. They feel like high-floor, low-ceiling pickups that will immensely help this team limit their mistakes and play with some maturity both at home and on the road in hostile environments.

The Bulldogs feel like the easiest team in the league to predict. They are pretty clearly short of the high-end teams in the conference, but they feel talented enough to stay out of the bottom tier of the league unless things go really south. Eighth feels appropriate, and it may be a season where the program just continues to build towards a rise that comes down the road.
