The Duke Blue Devils appear to be playing their best basketball at the right time after they rolled past Vermont and James Madison to reach the Sweet 16. They match up with the top-seeded Houston Cougars. Kelvin Sampson’s squad survived Texas A&M in overtime in a high-scoring shootout that saw the Cougars lose several players to foul trouble. The SportsGrid model has a few player props for this game, highlighted by a five-star projection on the under for Emanuel Sharp. The Houston guard averages 12.8 points per game and is listed with a total of 12.5 points. The model projects him to score only 10.6 in this game.
In addition to that five-star projection, the SportsGrid model has a four-star projection on Duke guard Tyrese Proctor going over 10.5 points. Proctor is projected to finish with 11.7 points in the contest.
