Alabama Crimson Tide
The most controversial topic in the college football world at the moment is where to rank the Alabama Crimson Tide. Ultimately, the committee has them in the College Football Playoff entering championship weekend. There's a case to be made with their strength of schedule and resume, but it's hard to feel good about ranking a team here with three losses. What's the point of playing the games if we let a three loss team that didn't compete in their conference championship into the playoff?
National Championship Odds: +1500
Penn State Nittany Lions
I don't think the Penn State Nittany Lions are bad. However, what have they done to deserve sitting as the third-ranked team in the country? This is a good football team. Is it a great football team? Nothing on their resume to date suggests that. The Nittany Lions can prove me wrong with a victory in the Big Ten Championship Game. I'm not counting on it.

Boise State Broncos
Are we really going to hang our hats on a field goal loss to Oregon in September? This was at a stage in the year when the Ducks were still finding an identity. If you saw these teams face off again, I'd be shocked if it weren't a blowout. The Broncos have played far too many close games against lackluster teams for my liking. Will they finally make a much needed statement and knock off UNLV for the second time this year?
National Championship Odds: +12000
Indiana Hoosiers
Before their blowout loss to Ohio State, the Indiana Hoosiers took care of business and had a perfect record. All we asked was for the Hoosiers to give themselves a puncher's chance against the Buckeyes. The Hoosiers didn't do that in Week 13. It's hard to envision the Hoosiers making a run at a national championship with what we saw against Ohio State. Still, it's hard to argue they don't deserve a spot in the CFP. The games have to matter, even when tasked with a lackluster schedule.
National Championship Odds: +5000
Missouri Tigers
I'm sorry, but get the Missouri Tigers out of the top 25. As much as this team was stacked with talent this year, they ultimately were a major disappointment. With their overall resume, the Tigers don't deserve to be anywhere near the top 25 with their final ranking upcoming.
