After an emotional win against Ohio State, it's going to be tough to ask the Oregon Ducks to put up another dominant showing on a short week.

Oklahoma State Cowboys vs. No. 13 BYU Cougars (-9.5)
It's hard to question the consistency that the BYU Cougars have shown this year. They have plenty of advantages in this matchup, and a comfortable win by double figures is in the conversation.

East Carolina Pirates vs. No. 23 Army Black Knights (-15.5)
We're simply not going to question the roll that Army is on right now. The Black Knights continue finding success in this home matchup vs. East Carolina.

Could this be where the Indiana Hoosiers run comes to an end? We're not going to count on it. The Hoosiers matchup well with Nebraska in this Big Ten clash.

Ever since their opening week loss to Georgia, the Clemson Tigers have been on an absolute roll. That continues in Week 8 when they host the Virginia Cavaliers.

Auburn Tigers vs. No. 19 Missouri Tigers (-4.5)
With how uninspiring the Missouri Tigers have looked this season, we have the home side on upset watch in this SEC tilt against a stingy Auburn team.

There have been far too many close calls this season for the Miami Hurricanes. The run of luck and comebacks falls just short here when they visit the Louisville Cardinals.

I like the way that the Notre Dame Fighting Irish have looked of late. Although the Yellow Jackets deserve some respect, this one shouldn't be all that close when the fourth quarter ends.

The Navy Midshipmen have looked the part of a top 25 team through Week 7. That continues with another strong showing in Week 8.

At the end of the day, I just don't have enough confidence in this Wolverines program on a weekly basis right now. Give me Illinois at home in this Big Ten clash.

No. 7 Alabama Crimson Tide (-2.5) vs. No. 11 Tennessee Volunteers
The Tennessee Volunteers need some urgency in this major SEC matchup against a vulnerable Crimson Tide team. We'll take the points and the home side in this matchup with plenty of College Football Playoff implications.

Prediction: Tennessee 30, Alabama 27
No. 14 Texas A&M Aggies (-14.5) vs. Mississippi State Bulldogs
It's hard to envision the Bulldogs finding much of any success in moving the football against this dangerous Texas A&M defense.

Prediction: Texas A&M 33, Mississippi State 13
No. 8 LSU Tigers (-2.5) vs. Arkansas Razorbacks
As much as it's been a fun story to follow Arkansas this season, the LSU Tigers can't afford another slip up after a strong showing last week vs. Ole Miss.

Prediction: LSU 30, Arkansas 26
UCF Knights vs. No. 9 Iowa State Cyclones (-13.5)
I've been very impressed with what I've seen from the Cyclones this season. They matchup very well against UCF, and the spread for this clash feels just about right.

Prediction: Iowa State 31, UCF 17
No. 5 Georgia Bulldogs vs. No. 1 Texas Longhorns (-4.5)
The biggest game of Week 8 has the Georgia Bulldogs visiting the Texas Longhorns. I don't envision the Bulldogs struggling in the first half like they did against Alabama. Look for Georgia to keep this close and pull off the late upset.

Prediction: Georgia 28, Texas 26
No. 17 Kansas State Wildcats (-3.5) vs. West Virginia Mountaineers
The hook is slightly concerning with the spread in this matchup. Still, we much prefer the talent of the Wildcats to the Mountaineers here.

Prediction: Kansas State 28, West Virginia 24
