Bryce Underwood attends Belleville High School in Belleville, Michigan.
During his freshman year, Bryce Underwood led Belleville High School to the state championship game, completing 12 out of 21 passes for 284 yards and five touchdowns and rushing for 62 yards and another score, securing a victory over Rochester Adams High School. That season, he amassed 2,888 passing yards and 39 touchdowns with only four interceptions and added six rushing touchdowns. His outstanding performance earned him the title of MaxPreps National Freshman of the Year.
In his sophomore year, Underwood once again guided his team to a state championship and was named the MaxPreps Player of the Year for Michigan. His junior year saw him throw for 3,165 yards and 40 touchdowns with just two interceptions, along with 160 rushing yards and seven touchdowns. Despite a 38-game winning streak, his team lost to Southfield-Lathrup High School in the state championship. For his efforts that season, he was recognized as the Michigan High School Football Player of the Year.
