Both teams enter this conference showdown eyeing more than just an SEC Championship. Tennessee and Oklahoma have high chances to make the CFB playoffs at the end of the year, but they’ll need to win this weekend to keep that hope alive. Unfortunately, only one squad can win and continue their undefeated season.
Tennessee vs. Oklahoma
Location: Memorial Stadium (Norman, Oklahoma) Time: 7:30 p.m. Where to Watch: ABC/ESPN+
Spread: Tennessee -6.5, Moneyline: Tennessee -265, Total: 57.5
Tennessee vs. Oklahoma Best Bet: Tennessee -6.5
It could go either way, with both teams entering this game 3-0. But up to this point, Tennessee has just looked to be on a completely different level from other ranked teams. The Volunteers have outscored their opponents 191-13 in the first three weeks as former five-star quarterback Nico Iamaleava looks the part. The Vols could be well on their way to a 4-0 start under Josh Heupel.
Tennessee vs. Oklahoma Best Total Bet: Over 57.5
With Nico Iamaleava leading the Volunteers and Jackson Arnold under center for Oklahoma, this matchup could be one of the highest-scoring games of the season. Both offenses pose a threat to the opposing team’s defenses, and it could lead to a good old-fashioned shootout. That said, I predict Tennessee will outlast the Sooners with a score of 38-24
Tennessee Best Player Bet: Dylan Sampson First Touchdown Scorer +350
The Vols could look to get the rushing attack going early to force Oklahoma to commit to slowing down the run and open up the passing game for their offense. Through three weeks, Dylan Sampson has looked dominant, rushing for 357 yards and nine touchdowns while averaging 7.9 yards per carry. With the junior able to break off a run for a touchdown at any given time, it wouldn’t be a shock to see Sampson and Tennessee strike first.
Oklahoma Best Player Bet: Jackson Arnold Any Time Touchdown +165
Jackson Arnold has been one of, if not the most important player for Oklahoma this year. The dual-threat quarterback has shown off his versatility as a passer and rusher. Arnold leads the team in rushing yards up to this point, and he could very well find himself in the endzone for yet another week.
