Buccaneers vs Chiefs: Best Kansas City Player Props for Monday Night Football

Week 9 of the NFL season wraps up tonight with a Monday Night Football showdown between the Kansas City Chiefs and Tampa Bay Buccaneers, so here are our top props for tonight’s game on the Chiefs’ side.

Tackle the Odds with SportsGrid’s Expert NFL Game Picks and NFL Player Prop Picks.

Kareem Hunt OVER 17.5 Rushing Attempts (-102)

The Chiefs’ offense has gone through Kareem Hunt since he joined the team, and across the past three games, Hunt has averaged just over 23 carries per game, surpassing the 17.5 carry mark comfortably in each game. Even in his season debut, when Hunt was still acclimating to the team, they ran in him 14 times. The Chiefs have no limitations for the volume that Hunt could see. In tonight’s game against the Bucs, where the Chiefs are expected to win convincingly, we could see Hunt running the ball into the ground to kill the clock in the second half. At a favorable -102 price, expecting him to surpass the 17.5-carry mark is a no-brainer.

Justin Watson OVER 13.5 Longest Reception (-113)

I have no statistics to back this up, but every time I watch the Chiefs on primetime, Justin Watson gets wide-open for a 25-yard catch. It’s like no one covers this guy, and he just falls into open space where Patrick Mahomes can deliver him a dot. In the six games this season where Watson has made a catch, he’s made a longest reception of at least 14 yards four times. We’ll look for him to surpass that mark again tonight.

Patrick Mahomes OVER 18.5 Rushing Yards (-113)

The Buccaneers’ defense has allowed nearly 32 rushing yards per game to opposing quarterbacks, good for the third-highest mark in football. Plus, last week, they allowed Kirk Cousins to rush for 16 yards… Kirk Cousins! To put that into perspective, Kirk has -3 rushing yards on the season! Looking at Patrick Mahomes, he’ll likely run the ball around four or five times tonight, and I expect him to break and get us a good chunk of our yardage. If Cousins can run for 16 yards against this defense, I’ll trust that Mahomes can rush for three more.
