It’s been an interesting start to the season for both teams. Although the Seahawks had expectations to return to the postseason, I’m not sure many people would have picked them to be the undefeated team in this clash with the Lions. The Lions have looked strong, but we haven’t seen that perfect game from them yet. With this matchup against the Seahawks, we’re looking for the Lions to put their best foot forward. Although the Seahawks have looked the part of a 3-0 team, the Lions will be their biggest test to this point. Detroit does many things well on the football field that should hinder the Seahawks from finding offensive success in this matchup. We’ve yet to see the Lions pop off on offense, and although we’re not calling for that tonight, there’s merit in them doing just enough to cover the number at home. The Lions are 19-7 at home against the spread since 2021. We like those numbers. 

Seahawks vs Lions Best Bet Total: Under 46.5 (-114) 

I’m unsure how to look at the Detroit Lions offense early this season. Many expected them to be a significant team to target with points scored in their games, but that hasn’t been the case through Week 3. The Lions first three games have ended with 46, 36, and 33 points scored, respectively. The Seahawks look like a much-improved group defensively, which gives us some pause in the expectation that points will be scored tonight.

Seahawks vs Lions Best Player Props

Kenneth Walker III UNDER 54.5 Rushing Yards (-113)

This is a prop that immediately got our attention. The Seahawks have a clear focus on running the football on offense. Kenneth Walker III is set to return after missing the last two weeks; by all accounts, he’s not 100%. That doesn’t bode well for him in a terrible matchup on the road against an excellent run-stopping defense. In addition, the Seahawks will likely continue to value Zach Charbonnet on the ground, which could cut into some of his workload. All of these factors have us hammering the under tonight.
